About the role
As an AI/ML Engineer at WSP, you will be responsible for developing advanced analytics and machine learning solutions with a focus on image, video, and LiDAR data processing. Your expertise in computer vision, deep learning, and Python-based model development will be crucial for this role. Experience with deploying solutions on the Azure AI/ML stack and front-end development using React is highly valued. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and optimize computer vision models for various tasks such as image classification, object detection, segmentation, OCR, and anomaly detection. - Build pipelines for processing large-scale video streams in real-time or batch mode. - Work with LiDAR point-cloud data for feature extraction, 3D object detection, scene reconstruction, and spatial analytics. - Implement preprocessing, augmentation, and feature engineering workflows for multimodal datasets. - Design, train, evaluate, and deploy deep learning models using frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV, MMDetection, and Detectron2. - Apply techniques such as transfer learning, fine-tuning, and model optimization including quantization and pruning. - Develop scalable data pipelines on Azure Machine Learning, Azure Databricks, and Azure Cognitive Services. - Build Python-based microservices for model inference and data processing. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions and document workflows, architectures, and best practices. Qualifications: Required Skills & Qualifications: - 35 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering with a focus on computer vision. - Strong proficiency in Python and popular ML/CV libraries like PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV, NumPy, pandas, and image/video processing libraries. - Experience with LiDAR/point-cloud processing and Azure AI/ML stack. - Solid understanding of deep learning architectures and model evaluation techniques. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with noisy/unstructured multimodal data. Nice-to-Have Skills: - Experience with React.js for building visualization dashboards. - Exposure to edge deployments and MLOps tools.
