As an Engineer at WSP, your role will involve designing Electrical and ICT systems such as Lighting, Power, Earthing, Lightning protection, Power distribution, Containment, and Fire alarm system among others. You are expected to take a 'hands-on' approach to all aspects of the role. Responsibilities: - Prepare feasibility study reports and review them with the team - Collaborate with WSP India team to develop design specifications aligned with employer requirements and ensure timely delivery - Define and monitor project scope, execute detailed designs in compliance with regulations and codes, review design calculations, and provide accurate information for project costing - Coordinate project documentation, address client queries promptly, manage project commissions, and lead the design process - Ensure adherence to document control, archiving, and QA processes, and coach junior staff on best practices Technical & Project Management: - Drive technical excellence and raise competency benchmarks within the team - Implement quality measurement and delivery processes, conduct technical reviews, and provide feedback for continuous improvement - Build strong client relationships through transparent communication, identify and manage risks, and monitor delegated tasks Key Competencies / Skills / Qualifications: - Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project - Fluent in English with strong technical terminology understanding - Demonstrated leadership, management, and technical skills - Cultural awareness, strong communication, and conscientious approach - High self-motivation, ability to work under pressure, and motivate others Mandatory skills: - Expertise in ELECTRICAL and ELV systems concept design, Space planning, and preparation of technical submittals - Strong knowledge of BS, HK, and ME codes, proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office - Ability to conduct detailed design, calculations, and drawings, evaluate quotations, and maintain design documentation - Coordinate with clients and consultants, strong presentation skills, and familiarity with various systems like fire alarm systems, Gas suppression systems, VESDA, Heat trace systems, and Grounding & bonding infrastructure Desired Project Experience: - Membership in an accredited engineering body CEng, IEng - Experience in high rise buildings, hospital or healthcare facilities, commercial buildings, industrial buildings, educational institutions, residential towers, infrastructure projects, and aviation projects Qualifications: - A Master/Graduate electrical engineer with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience - Professional certification from CEng/IEng will be an added advantage About Us: WSP is a leading professional services consulting firm dedicated to local communities and international projects.
