About the role
As a Technical Delivery engineer at WSP, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing engineering designs, drawings, and reports in accordance with ME standards. Your role will involve ensuring timely submission of deliverables that meet internal and client quality expectations, supporting technical governance, and collaborating with senior engineers to resolve design challenges. Additionally, you will assist Senior Engineers with technical input and coordination across disciplines. Your responsibilities will also include liaising with ME-based teams to ensure alignment of design outputs and project goals, as well as maintaining effective communication with internal stakeholders and clients. You will be expected to follow WSPs Business Management System and ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Quality Assurance standards. Supporting audits and implementing corrective actions as needed will be part of your role. As part of the team at WSP, you will work within a collaborative and inclusive culture, contributing to a team of engineers and technicians. Participation in training, mentoring, and professional development initiatives will be encouraged. You will also support junior staff and share technical knowledge across the team. To qualify for this role, you should have a Masters degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline and be working towards Chartered Engineer status (e.g., ICE, CIHT). The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in highway design, preferably within the ME region, along with familiarity with ME design standards and project delivery practices. Proficiency in using relevant design software and tools such as Civil3D and ACC is required. Core competencies for this position include a strong technical understanding of highway engineering, effective time management and organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication, the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, and an ethical, proactive, and team-oriented mindset. Additional requirements for this role include a willingness to travel to the ME region for short-term project support (23 months intervals) and being open to working across cultures and multidisciplinary teams.
