About the role
Key Responsibilities Create and develop 3D models, assemblies, and 2D engineering drawings using CATIA V5/V6. Design vehicle components, subsystems, and assemblies such as Body-in-White (BIW), chassis, powertrain, interiors, exteriors, and vehicle packaging. Perform concept development, detailed design, and engineering release activities. Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis, GD&T application, and design validation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including CAE, Manufacturing, Quality, Prototype, and Supplier Engineering. Generate and maintain engineering documentation, BOMs, and design change records. Ensure designs meet customer specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of experience in automotive/vehicle design and development. Strong expertise in CATIA V5 and/or CATIA V6. Good knowledge of vehicle engineering principles and product development processes. Experience in creating 3D models, surface modeling, assembly design, and drafting. Understanding of GD&T, DFMEA, DFM/DFA, and engineering change management. Familiarity with PLM tools such as ENOVIA, Teamcenter, or Windchill. Knowledge of automotive standards and manufacturing processes.
