Job Descriptions Commissioning Engineer Plant Startup & Commissioning Job Title: – Senior Engineer Commissioning Function / Department: Project Management Reporting To: Commissioning Manager Role Purpose we are seeking a Start-Up and Commissioning Engineer for PMC and EPC across biogas and renewable energy sector. The Commissioning Engineer will support and execute plant startup and cold and warm commissioning activities across biogas and renewable energy projects. The role is hands-on and site-focused, ensuring smooth execution of installation checks, commissioning, troubleshooting, and stabilization under the guidance of the Commissioning manager. Key Responsibilities Key Deliverables Strategy & Planning Support development of commissioning plans, procedures, and checklists. Assist in technical reviews during project planning and design stages. Project Delivery Execute installation supervision, pre-commissioning and commissioning tasks. Assist in startup activities and plant stabilization efforts. Conduct system checks, equipment testing, and performance validation. Support troubleshooting and operability improvements. Stakeholder Management Coordinate with site teams, vendors, and contractors during execution. Provide regular updates on commissioning progress and issues. Collaborate with engineering and project teams for technical alignment Risk & Cost Control Identify potential issues during commissioning and escalate proactively. Support cost control through efficient execution and minimizing rework. People Leadership Work closely with cross-functional teams at site. Support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives. Compliance & Safety Follow safety procedures, permit systems, and site protocols. Ensure adherence to quality and compliance standards during execution. Promote a zero-incident safety culture at site. Skills & Competencies Technical Skills Hands-on commissioning and startup experience Basic understanding of process engineering and plant systems Troubleshooting and analytical thinking Behavioural Competencies : Ability to work in cross-functional site teams Strong communication and coordination skills Safety-first mindset Willingness to travel and work at project sites Qualifications Education : B.E./B.Tech in Civil / Mechanical Experience : 6-8 years in plant commissioning, preferably in biogas
