About the role
As a Commissioning Manager based in Gurugram, you will lead start-up and commissioning activities for PMC and EPC projects in biogas and renewable energy. Your role will involve coordinating with Design & Engineering, Project Management, and site teams to ensure technical readiness, safety, and optimal plant performance. Key Responsibilities: - Strategy & Planning - Prepare a comprehensive commissioning strategy, procedures, and execution plan aligned with project timelines. - Define start-up processes in coordination with design and construction phases. - Provide inputs on commissioning during bid-stage technical evaluations. - Project Delivery - Lead installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities. - Ensure plant stabilization and performance meet guarantees. - Troubleshoot, optimize operations, and prepare for technical acceptance and final handover. - Stakeholder Management - Collaborate closely with Design & Engineering, Project teams, and Clients. - Act as the primary contact for commissioning with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders. - Share site learnings with the design team for necessary corrections. - Risk & Cost Control - Identify commissioning risks and develop mitigation plans. - Monitor the commissioning budget for cost efficiency. - Proactively address technical challenges to reduce rework. - People Leadership - Guide commissioning engineers and site teams. - Ensure coordination among different teams and promote a performance-driven culture. - Encourage knowledge sharing among teams. - Compliance & Safety - Adhere to safety standards and legal requirements throughout the commissioning process. - Implement safety protocols and permit systems. - Foster a zero-incident safety culture on-site. Skills & Competencies: Technical Skills: - Hands-on experience in plant commissioning, start-up, and stabilisation. - Proficiency in biogas/renewable energy projects. - Strong troubleshooting and operational optimization capabilities. - Understanding of process engineering and system integration. - Commitment to safety and compliance. Behavioural Skills: - Effective communication with clients, contractors, and internal teams. - Strong leadership and decision-making under high-pressure situations. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Ability to align and influence stakeholders. Qualifications: - Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. - Experience: 1215 years in commissioning leadership roles, preferably in biogas/renewable energy/EPC projects.
