Job Description – Data Engineer (Data Warehousing & ETL) Location: Mumbai (Onsite) Experience: 7+ Years Location-Mumbai Domain Preference: BFSI (Banking, Financial Services & Insurance) Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team for a critical onsite engagement. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and ETL development, along with hands-on experience in Python, SQL, and Data Management. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data warehouse solutions to support data integration, reporting, analytics, and business decision-making processes. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading data from multiple sources. Develop and optimize Data Warehouse solutions, including data models, schemas, and data marts. Create and manage data integration processes to ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy. Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning scripts. Build scalable data pipelines using Python for data ingestion, transformation, and automation. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data and reporting requirements. Implement data governance, data quality, and data management best practices. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize ETL jobs and data warehouse performance. Prepare technical documentation, data dictionaries, and process documentation. Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions. Required Technical Skills Strong experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and ETL Development. Hands-on experience in Python for data processing and automation. Advanced knowledge of SQL, query optimization, and database design. Strong understanding of Data Management, data governance, and data quality principles. Experience in designing star schema, snowflake schema, and dimensional data models. Knowledge of data integration tools and ETL frameworks. Experience with relational databases and enterprise data warehouse platforms. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in the BFSI domain with an understanding of banking and financial data. Exposure to regulatory reporting and enterprise reporting environments is preferred. Understanding of data security, compliance, and governance practices. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, business-critical environment. Educational Qualification Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
