Role Description As a Malware Detection Engineer at XSAV Lab, you will design, implement, and maintain malware detection mechanisms across applications, networks, and cloud environments in the Pune District office. In this full-time on-site role, you will analyze threats, build detection rules and signatures, tune monitoring systems, and collaborate with development teams to integrate secure coding practices and automated security checks into products. You will perform malware reverse engineering, investigate security incidents, and provide technical guidance on containment and remediation strategies. The role includes conducting security assessments, contributing to threat intelligence, documenting findings, and preparing reports to support continuous improvement of XSAV Labs security posture. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure that AI-powered SaaS platforms are resilient against evolving malware and cyber threats. Qualifications - Strong foundation in Cybersecurity and Information Security, with experience in threat analysis and malware behavior. - Hands-on skills in Application Security and Vulnerability Assessment, including secure coding review and remediation practices. - Knowledge of Network Security concepts such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, segmentation, and secure network architecture. - Experience with malware detection tools, SIEM platforms, EDR solutions, and security automation frameworks. - Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, Java) for building detection logic and tooling. - Familiarity with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and securing distributed SaaS architectures. - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CEH, OSCP, CISSP, GIAC) are an advantage. - Ability to work on-site in Pune District, collaborate in cross-functional teams, and communicate complex security findings clearly. .
