Manual Tester

Responsibilities Analyse business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to identify test scenarios and acceptance criteria. Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test cases, test plans, and test data. Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and end-to-end testing of web and mobile applications. Execute test cases, document test results, and ensure complete test coverage for assigned features. Identify, log, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools. Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and improve product quality. Conduct regression testing following bug fixes, enhancements, and new releases. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives. Validate application functionality across multiple browsers, devices, and environments. Prepare and maintain testing documentation, including test reports, defect reports, and release validation reports. Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) activities and production release verification. Contribute to process improvements and quality assurance best practices. Stay updated with industry trends, testing methodologies, and emerging QA tools and technologies. Requirements 1-4 years of hands-on experience in manual software testing. Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). Experience in functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and user acceptance testing. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms. Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality software products. Preferred Qualifications Experience testing SaaS, web-based, or mobile applications. Basic understanding of API testing tools such as Postman. Exposure to automation testing concepts and tools is a plus. ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is an added advantage.
