Application Engineer Presales HVAC Data Center

Role Overview: As an Sr. Applications Engineering professional, your main focus will be on preparing optimized selections and accurate technical proposals for Data Center Airside equipment & Coolant Distribution Unit. You will work closely with the products team to provide pre-sales support, ensuring the best solution is delivered to the sales team as per requirements. Your role will involve interpreting engineering drawings, developing engineered equipment submittals, and monitoring project deliverables for quality, cost, and time. Key Responsibilities: - Drive the process for application specifications and ensure the sales team receives the best solution. - Provide pre-sales support on Data Center Airside equipment such as CRAH, Fan wall units & CRAC, from reading specifications to preparing selections and providing final optimized quotes. - Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to develop and provide engineered equipment submittals. - Work closely with the products team to review and optimize technical specifications for air side products. - Respond to field sales project inquiries regarding product specifications and propose solutions to meet customer requirements. - Guide the pre-sales team on system design approaches and enhance competitive advantage by specifying tailored equipment packages. - Develop compliance statements against project specifications and utilize your expertise in Data Center Airside equipment to create optimized bids. Qualifications Required: - BE/ME Mechanical or equivalent degree. - High level of knowledge of HVAC equipment like CRAC, CRAH, fan wall units, & CDU. - Solid understanding of Enterprise, Colocation, Cloud, Managed services, and Hyperscale Data center associated equipment. - Minimum 6+ years of experience in HVAC Airside equipment product selection process. - Ability to work successfully in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision. - Quick learner with strong problem-solving skills. - Proficient in written and verbal communication. - Demonstrated leadership skills and people management experience would be advantageous. - Preference for individuals with Mechanical Engineering Degree and/or previous applications engineering experience within Data Center Airside Equipment. - Strict adherence to the Companys Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards.
