About the role
Senior Product Engineer - yhangry (YC W22)
We're the UK's largest private chef marketplace, think Airbnb for private chefs. We’re currently across the UK and US enabling chefs to earn over 3x more than they would working in restaurants. We are currently rethinking the way customers and chefs curate in person events using AI to enable better human connections across the world.
We're looking for a Senior Product Engineer to join our team. This is a founding-engineer-style seat: high ownership, direct impact, no layers.
We’ve rebuilt our engineering culture around a simple belief. Engineers won’t spend most of their time writing code manually anymore.
🚀 Instead, the best engineers will:
Design systems
Orchestrate agents
Self-learn from outcomes
Ship products end-to-end with massive leverage
⚡️ What you'll do:
Own large chunks of the core product end-to-end
Ship features that directly move business metrics (conversion, retention, revenue)
Work across the full stack - Laravel/PHP + React/TS, although open to new tech, especially building for AI
Help shape the future of hospitality as we transition to an AI native company
Get your work in the hands of users to get instant feedback
Build with AI tools to move faster
👋 What we're looking for:
You’ve adopted AI workflows and embrace the change engineering is going through
3+ years of production experience with Laravel/PHP and React
Genuine product instinct - you think about the customer first
You are curious, ambitious, love to innovate
Startup DNA - you've thrived in small teams with ambiguity and shipped fast
London-based with UK work rights (hybrid, once a week in North London)
Nice-to-haves: Node, Go, Kubernetes, BigQuery, Python
