Java Backend Developer

Role Overview: You will be joining the Payment Domain engineering team as a Java Developer with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, Redis, and PostgreSQL. Your role will involve developing scalable backend systems and enterprise-grade applications while leveraging modern software engineering practices and AI-assisted development workflows. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain enterprise-scale backend applications using Java and J2EE technologies. - Design and implement scalable Microservices architectures. - Build and integrate distributed systems using Kafka and Redis. - Develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Spring Boot and Hibernate. - Collaborate with architects, technical leads, and business stakeholders to design and implement solutions. - Utilize AI-powered development tools for coding, testing, refactoring, and documentation. - Integrate AI/ML and LLM-based APIs into enterprise applications where applicable. - Ensure application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability. - Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design initiatives. - Follow best practices in software development, testing, and deployment. Qualification Required: - 46 years of hands-on experience in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST APIs, and SQL. - Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Object-Oriented Programming. - Experience building and maintaining distributed systems using Kafka and Redis. - Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and relational database design. - Knowledge of UML, software design patterns, and application architecture. - Experience working with Microservices-based architectures. - Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar platforms. - Basic understanding of Generative AI, Prompt Engineering, Agentic AI, and AI-assisted workflows. - Experience consuming or integrating AI/ML services and APIs. - Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
