Job Description Assistant Mining Engineer Job Summary The Assistant Mining Engineer will support the planning, coordination, and execution of mining operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production. The role involves mine planning, production monitoring, technical reporting, scheduling, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to achieve operational targets. Key Responsibilities Assist in planning, scheduling, and optimizing surface and underground mining operations. Support daily mining activities to achieve production targets safely and efficiently. Prepare production schedules, mining reports, and cost estimates. Monitor mining performance and analyze production data to improve operational efficiency. Assist in mine planning and design using industry-standard mining software. Coordinate with Geology, Operations, Maintenance, and Environmental teams to ensure smooth mine operations. Ensure compliance with company policies, mining regulations, health & safety, and environmental standards. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and operational performance. Prepare technical documentation and progress reports for management. Support the implementation of best mining practices and operational procedures. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering. Experience 1015 years of proven experience in mining operations, preferably in the gold mining industry. Experience in surface and underground mining operations.
