As a System Security Engineer, your role will involve the following responsibilities: - Perform security assessments, including ethical hacking, on in-house developed applications and solutions - Collaborate with development teams to address and resolve security findings, ensuring effective remediation strategies are implemented - Advocate for secure coding practices within development teams - Assist in designing processes and managing secure software development activities, including tracking progress and metrics - Engage in information security incident response, RFP, and RFI activities - Administer and provide support for application security analysis tools You should possess the following qualifications and skills: - BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field - 3-6 years of experience in information security, as an analyst, penetration tester, or security systems operator - Experience working with external pen-testing vendors and third parties - Strong project management skills to oversee multiple stakeholders and projects, emphasizing best practices and SLAs - Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, SQL, and .NET Framework - Knowledge of secure programming practices, networking security principles, and web application infrastructure best practices - Familiarity with operating systems like Windows, Linux, and iOS - Understanding of secure programming standards like OWASP and SANS - Experience with application security testing methodologies, tools, and utilities (dynamic and static scanning, proxies) - Familiarity with BI tools like MicroStrategy, QlikView, Tableau - Awareness or experience in AWS and cloud security practices This position requires strong project management, analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, and attention to detail skills. It falls under the IT & Information Security department in the Analytics/KPO/Research industry. The role is full-time and permanent, categorized under IT Security.
