About the role
The Director of Data Analytics will lead a small but impactful team of data professionals responsible for delivering insights that influence strategic and operational decisions across product finance, operations, and commercial functions. You will combine hands-on technical work with leadership, building scalable reporting and data models while mentoring your team and collaborating with business leaders. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a global, fast-paced environment and enjoys turning complex datasets into clear, actionable insights. Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of analysts and data scientists to deliver accurate and meaningful data insights supporting key business objectives.Collaborate with product, finance, operations, and commercial teams to identify and prioritize analytics initiatives.Design and maintain automated dashboards and performance metrics using tools such as Looker, Tableau, DBRX, or Power BI.Drive the development of scalable data models, ETL processes, and data quality frameworks in collaboration with engineering.Translate business questions into analytical frameworks and communicate findings in a clear, compelling way to leadership.Conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover opportunities in customer behavior, product adoption, and operational/financial performance.Build and promote a data-driven culture across the organization through training, enablement, and consistent data storytelling. Requirements: 10+ years of total experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data science.3+ years in a leadership or team management role within analytics, preferably in a startup or high-growth tech environment.Strong command of SQL and experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, DBRX, and Power BI) and modern data stack components (Snowflake, dbt, and Python/R preferred).Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into analytical deliverables that drive decision-making.Proven experience working with cross-functional global teams, including product, engineering, and finance.Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.Bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative or analytical field (e. g., computer science, statistics, economics, or engineering).
