About the role
The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for designing and developing dashboards and reporting solutions using the Microsoft BI stack, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft SSRS/Snowflake and SQL development. This role focuses on building scalable data models, managing data and report development and enhancements, and supporting production-ready analytics solutions in an Agile workplace. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate data into actionable reporting and insights, while contributing to the full development lifecyclefrom data sourcing and modeling to visualization and optimization. Key Responsibilities - Write and optimize complex SQL queries to support reporting and analytics in the SSRS and Snowflake platforms - Translate business and client requests into applicable technical deliverables - Build and maintain data models using relational databases, tabular models, or cubes - Develop proof-of-concept (POC) reports and dashboards and evolve them into production solutions - Ensure data accuracy, performance, and scalability of BI solutions - Collaborate with technical teams to define and implement data structures and reporting schemas - Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and delivery - Support testing, validation, and ongoing enhancement of dashboards and reports - Research and apply new tools, features, and best practices in BI and data visualization Required Qualifications - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) - 35+ years of experience in BI or data development roles - Strong expertise in: - SQL (advanced querying, performance tuning) - Microsoft SQL Server (SSRS) - Experience working with: - Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data platforms - Data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling - Familiarity with Sigma or other modern BI tools (Tableau, Looker, etc.) - Ability to work with large datasets and optimize performance - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Nice-to-Have Skills (or willingness to learn) - Exposure to CI/CD, Git, or DevOps practices - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Soft Skills - Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking - Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly - Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively - Eagerness to learn new tools and technologies .
