About the role
As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for taking end-to-end ownership of Product features technical delivery for a multi-customer SaaS product. Your role will involve leading technical design, development, system testing, and ensuring the scalability, security, performance, and maintainability of the platform. Key Responsibilities: - Lead technical design for new and existing modules, ensuring comprehensive design for product enhancement. - Own system design decisions across backend and platform services. - Define and drive engineering processes including requirement intake, sprint planning, code reviews, testing, and release management. - Mentor and guide engineers, conduct performance reviews, and support individual growth plans. - Drive quality improvement, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of engineering processes. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering execution with business goals. - Stay updated on new tech developments and promote a learning culture in engineering practices. Requirements: - Attitude to learn & grow self along with the team. - Demonstrated latest learnings & their application in a professional environment. Experience: - 10+ years of experience in software engineering with a minimum of 4 years in engineering leadership. - At least 5 years of experience in 50% of tech stack: Python, Django, Angular, Docker, cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure), Redis, and RabbitMQ. - Strong team leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Desirable: - Strong track record of ensuring product quality, stability, and release readiness through structured engineering processes. - Proven experience in designing scalable, high-performance, and reliable systems. - Hands-on experience with modern backend and platform stacks. - Experience delivering multi-customer configurable software products in SaaS environment. - Exposure to customer-facing technical discussions and presales support is a plus. - Experience working in fast-paced or growing environments where processes are evolving.
