We are looking for a Data Scientist to help develop advanced analytics use cases for the logistics and supply functions for our Specialty Chemicals client in Houston. The ideal candidate is adept at discovering insights hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to generate business value. The Candidate must have strong experience using a variety of data analysis techniques and data tools, building and implementing machine learning models, using/creating algorithms, and performing error analysis. Qualifications: • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets. • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications. • Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc. • Experience with processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy. • Strong oral and written communication skills, especially around analytical concepts and methods.
