Job Description About the team: The EMC Laboratory Technician performs electromagnetic compatibility and electrical validation testing in accordance with product specifications and EMC test requirements. This role supports product validation and development engineering in a hands-on lab environment and requires the ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, communicates effectively, and can execute both written and verbal instructions.
The hours for this role are 1:30pm-10pm.
What you can look forward to as an EMC Technician:
Set up, operate, and monitor RF test equipment including spectrum analyzers, receivers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and power meters
Take measurements and record EUT (Equipment Under Test) performance and behaviors during testing
Analyze and document test results; maintain accurate test logs
Review test procedures and assist Product Validation and Development Engineering with test setups
Perform general maintenance on laboratory equipment and maintain 5S standards in lab areas
Perform limited PCB soldering and build cable assemblies as needed
Move and configure heavy test equipment and fixtures for test setup and teardown
Your profile as an EMC Technician:
2+ years of experience with test and measurement equipment (digital multimeters, spectrum analyzers, receivers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, etc.) in an EMC or related field
Solid understanding of the operation, application, and proper usage of the equipment listed above
Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
