Engineering Architect

Role Overview: As an Engineering Architect, you will be responsible for working directly with development, support, implementation, and other internal teams as well as external vendors and clients. Your role will involve overseeing and managing all aspects of the engineering department within the organization, requiring strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a strategic mindset to drive innovation and ensure successful project deliveries. You will collaborate with the CEO/CTO, making decisions that impact current and future operations of the company. Key Responsibilities: - Manage multiple engineering projects and ensure timely and within budget product delivery - Lead a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and support - Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product, design, and customer support for smooth product development and delivery - Ensure team adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security protocols - Recruit, train, and mentor engineers and support staff - Evaluate and recommend new technologies and methodologies to enhance the engineering process - Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and partners for successful project completions - Successfully delivered at least two projects end-to-end - Oversight of the full software development lifecycle for a group of developers and testers in an agile environment - Mentor technical staff for continuous improvement and career development - Establish department standards and recommend efficient ways for best implementation practices of new upgraded products - Evaluate and report progress and results Qualifications Required: - Hands-on experience in Java, Front end technologies like Bootstrap, jQuery, AWS, Modular software development, multi-tenant architecture, and highly scalable systems - Proficiency in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) - 8-10 years of experience demonstrating required skills and competencies in engineering - BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; MS/MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus - Full stack architecture experience - In-depth knowledge of Docker Containers, Kubernetes Cluster management, microservice architectures, DevOps practices, and tooling - Previous leadership or management experience - Strong communication skills to build consensus and influence technical direction effectively - Ability to determine the best implementation approach/methodology for projects based on established guidelines and best practices - Flexibility in learning new technologies quickly Additional Company Details: The company is a leading provider of data integration and Data warehousing services for both cloud/SAAS-based-on-demand applications.
