Schedule calibration, PMs and repair activities with System Owners and third-party service providers to ensure minimum equipment/ CMM downtimes for a manufacturing site.

How You'll Create Impact

• Manage calibration and PM schedules to ensure timely completion of CMMs calibrations, PMs, and repairs. • Evaluate CMMs programs used to measure features and characteristics from the manufactured implants, based on Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles. • Assist in the creation of Out Of Tolerance calibration reports and deviationsl assist in impact assessments and investigation of OOTs, NCRs, CAPAs, and Issue Evaluations, as required by area manager. • Basic programming knowledge of CMMs (PCDMIS application) to support manufacturing operations. • Calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CMM equipment based on American National Standard ASME B89.4.1 1997/2001b Volumetric Performance Approach including X, Y and Z axis linearity calibration. Knowledge of CMM components such as probes, controllers, sphere standards, tips and interfaces. • Work with solution providers to ensure that the manufacturing processes leveraged best practices to improve the efficiency and quality of measurement systems. • Driving the understanding of metrology technology to assure that our capabilities meet technical requirements, and represent the most appropriate technology available. • Provide analytical support for the selection and validation of measurement and test equipment and calibrations. Use statistical analysis to identify trends, outliers and measure process performance. • Perform TMVs and Gage R&Rs ensuring measurement systems meet accuracy and repeatability requirements. Perform and provide input for process validations and capability studies. • Independently troubleshoot operational issues in a manufacturing or project environment and leading troubleshooting efforts with cross functional teams. • Have a good understanding of basic IT hardware to ensure equipment performance and reporting is efficient. Work with operators to help with training and design interfaces that are intuitive to aid operator onboarding. • Conducting feasibility studies to estimate product/ process costs, analyze capital equipment utilization, capacity, and capability requirements affecting the make versus buy decision.
