About the role
Job Title: Software Tester Location: Visakhapatnam Job Summary: Key Responsibilities: Testing & Execution - Analyze user requirements and design test cases based on specifications. - Perform manual or automated testing for functionality, usability, and regression. - Execute different types of testing: Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, and UAT. - Identify, log, and track bugs in defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla). - Retest and verify bug fixes and perform regression testing after changes. Documentation & Reporting - Create and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test data. - Document defects clearly with steps to reproduce, screenshots, and logs. - Prepare test summary reports and communicate test results to stakeholders. Collaboration - Work closely with developers, product managers, and UX/UI teams. - Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives in Agile teams. - Support the QA team in implementing test automation (if applicable). Required Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. - 0-3 years of experience in software testing (manual, automation, or both). - Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). - Familiarity with test case and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail). Preferred Skills (Optional but a Plus): - Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium). - Knowledge of API testing using Postman or REST-assured. - Knowledge of scripting languages - Java script. - Knowledge of Programming languages - java, C #, python. - Basic knowledge of databases and SQL queries. - Familiarity with version control tools like Git. Soft Skills: - High attention to detail and robust observational skills. - Good communication and teamwork. - Analytical and problem-solving mindset. - Ability to work under mnimal supervision.
