About the role
The Technical Test Professional will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products This role involves designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts The successful candidate will be adept at using various testing tools and methodologies to identify defects and maintain the highest level of software quality Key Responsibilities: Test Strategy and Planning:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create test strategies and test plans based on project requirements Define and prioritize test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage of software features Identify test data requirements and establish data sets for testing purposes Test Execution:Execute manual and automated test cases to validate the functionality, usability, and performance of software applications Conduct exploratory testing to uncover potential issues and ensure the user experience is intuitive and seamless Report and document defects, clearly communicating the steps to reproduce them Test Automation:Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks Continuously optimize and expand automated test coverage to improve test efficiency and effectiveness Integrate automated tests into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline Performance and Load Testing:Design and conduct performance and load tests to assess system scalability, stability, and response times Analyze and report on system performance bottlenecks and recommend optimizations Regression Testing:Implement and maintain a regression testing suite to ensure that code changes do not introduce new defects Automate repetitive regression test cases to save time and resources Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to prioritize and resolve defects and issues Communicate test results and quality metrics to project teams and management Documentation:Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts Document testing processes and best practices for knowledge sharing Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Proven experience in software testing and quality assurance, including test planning, test execution, and defect management Proficiency in test automation tools and scripting languages (e g, Selenium, Appium, Python, Java) Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, software development processes, and agile methodologies Experience with performance testing tools (e g, JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
