Analytical Engineer (Data Modeller + Data Analyst) (Pune)

We are looking for an experienced Analytical Engineer with a strong blend of Data Modelling (70%) and Data Analysis (30%) expertise. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating business requirements into analytics-ready data models while performing data analysis, profiling, and validation to ensure high-quality, trusted datasets. The role requires strong experience in Data Vault 2.0 , Dimensional Modelling , and Advanced SQL , along with the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver scalable enterprise data solutions. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop enterprise data models using Data Vault 2.0 and Dimensional Modelling techniques. - Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable logical and physical data models. - Perform data analysis, profiling, validation, and quality assessments across multiple data sources. - Develop complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis. - Build analytics-ready datasets to support reporting, dashboards, and advanced analytics. - Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytical requirements. - Ensure consistency, accuracy, and governance of enterprise data assets. - Collaborate with Data Engineers to implement data models within Azure/Databricks environments. - Identify data quality issues and recommend remediation strategies. - Document data models, business rules, metadata, and transformation logic. - Support UAT activities and validate data against business expectations. Required Skills Must Have - Strong experience in Data Modelling (Data Vault 2.0 and/or Dimensional Modelling) - Hands-on experience in Data Analysis, data profiling, and data validation - Advanced SQL skills for querying, transformation, and performance optimization - Robust understanding of data warehousing concepts - Experience translating business requirements into analytical data models - Excellent stakeholder communication and requirement gathering skills Preferred Skills - Experience with Azure Databricks - Azure Data Factory (ADF) - Delta Lake - Data Warehousing - Data Governance concepts - Power BI or other BI reporting tools - Experience working in large enterprise data environments Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. - 610+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Modelling, or Analytics Engineering. - Experience working in Agile delivery environments is preferred.
