About the role
AWS, Linux Systems Administration, Alation, Erwin, PostgreSQL, OIDC/SAML, OKTA, Python, SNOW Data Catalog Platform Engineer : - Data Catalog Platform Administration (Alation). Administer and maintain self-hosted data catalog environments on Linux. Perform platform upgrades, migrations, and backup/restore operations. Configure and troubleshoot metadata extraction and query log ingestion pipelines. Implement and support SSO and SCIM for user authentication and provisioning. Develop and maintain Python-based ETL workflows for data ingestion and transformation. Collaborate with data platform teams to maintain connectors and credentials. Manage customer support activities, including creating and tracking tickets in ServiceNow (SNOW). Provide operational documentation and root-cause analysis for incidents.
