Job Title: Senior Database Engineer (Healthcare) Location: India (Remote) Experience: 7+ Years Timing: US Central Standard Time (CST) India Night Hours Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Database Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server to design, optimize, and support mission-critical database systems in a healthcare analytics environment. This role is heavily focused on database architecture, performance tuning, high availability, and data integrity, with additional responsibilities supporting ETL, reporting, and analytics workloads. Key Responsibilities, Skills & Qualifications: Architect, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade SQL Server databases supporting high-volume transactional and analytical workloads Proficient in PL/SQL with strong knowledge of RDBMS fundamentals, data modeling, and query optimization Design and optimize database schemas, tables, indexes, views, functions, and stored procedures Perform advanced query optimization, execution plan analysis, and performance troubleshooting Implement and manage partitioning, compression, indexing strategies, and resource governance Monitor database health, capacity, and performance using native and third-party tools Manage database upgrades, patching, and version migrations with minimal downtime Develop and optimize SQL-based ETL/ELT processes supporting data warehouses and reporting systems Work with healthcare and radiology data sources including RIS, PACS, DICOM metadata Support integration of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR into SQL Serverbased data platforms Ensure accurate modeling and storage of clinical and imaging-related data Ensure HIPAA compliance through data masking, secure access, and audit logging Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance, availability, and data issues Collaborate with application, ETL, and BI teams to ensure end-to-end data reliability Exposure to Azure SQL, Managed Instance, or SQL Server on Azure VMs Familiarity with Power BI and SQL Serveroptimized reporting models Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB is a plus Provide production database support during US Central Time business hours Job Title: Senior Database Engineer (Healthcare) Location: India (Remote) Experience: 7+ Years Timing: US Central Standard Time (CST) India Night Hours Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Database Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server to design, optimize, and support mission-critical database systems in a healthcare analytics environment.
