Job Title: Application Support Engineer Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) About the Client: Our client is a leading global IT MNC and a part of a prominent insurance group headquartered in Germany and Europe. Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Azure Kubernetes Support Engineer to manage, monitor, and support containerized workloads in Azure. The role requires expertise in AKS, Kubernetes ecosystem tools, and ITIL-based support practices to ensure high availability, operational excellence, and seamless production support. Key Responsibilities: Manage and support Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters in production environments. Perform cluster administration using Kubectl, Azure CLI, and Helm. Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot containerized applications on Kubernetes (K8s/K3s). Handle Incident, Problem, and Change Management following ITIL practices. Monitor system health and performance using tools like Prometheus. Manage container images and repositories via Azure Container Registry (ACR). Support deployment and scaling using tools such as KEDA, Dapr, Argo, and Flux (GitOps). Work with advanced Kubernetes networking and security tools, e.g., Cilium. Participate in 24/7 support rotation and ensure SLA adherence. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures to reduce recurring issues. Requirements Strong hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Solid understanding of Kubernetes (K8s/K3s) architecture and administration. Proficiency in Kubectl, Azure CLI, and Helm. Experience with Azure Container Registry (ACR). Exposure to Kubernetes ecosystem tools: KEDA, Dapr, Argo, Flux, Prometheus, Cilium. Strong knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management). Prior experience in production support / L2-L3 support environments. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a 24/7 support environment.
