5+ years of Milestone VMS , strong troubleshooting & production support, Jira , VMS integrations/configuration, release support, and excellent communication/documentation skills.

Milestone Certified Integration Engineer (MCIE) certification preferred

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Applications Engineer – Milestone VMS to support Video Management Systems (VMS) operations, integrations, and release activities. This role will focus on troubleshooting, operational support, and ensuring high-quality system performance through effective cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Triage and resolve VMS-related issues by analyzing logs, reproducing defects, and documenting findings

• Coordinate with engineering teams to drive issue resolution and system improvements

• Support release readiness activities including smoke testing, deployment validation, and checklist execution

• Assist with VMS integrations and system configuration tasks

• Track and manage operational work using Jira (bugs, tasks, dependencies)

• Partner with Technical Program Managers (TPMs) to identify risks, blockers, and dependencies

• Maintain clear documentation including runbooks, knowledge articles, and process guides

• Ensure timely communication and status reporting across teams

• Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience working with Milestone VMS

• Strong experience in technical troubleshooting and production support

• Hands-on experience with Jira or similar ticketing tools

• Solid understanding of system integrations and configurations

• Excellent problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills

• Strong communication and documentation abilities

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

• Preferred

• Milestone Certified Integration Engineer (MCIE) certification

• Experience supporting non-production (dev/test/lab) environments

• Familiarity with VMS integrations and deployment workflows

• Ability to create detailed technical documentation and operational playbooks
