About the role
Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java to ensure the functionality, performance, and usability of e-commerce websites and mobile applications.

Collaborate with development and product teams to identify test scenarios for retail-specific features like product catalogs, shopping carts, payment gateways, and customer accounts.

Execute automated tests to validate end-to-end user journeys, including order placement, promotions, inventory management, and checkout processes.

Integrate automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit) with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) to support continuous testing in an Agile environment.

Perform regression, functional, and performance testing to ensure seamless user experiences across browsers, devices, and platforms.

Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like Jira, and work closely with developers to resolve issues impacting retail operations.

Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide recommendations to improve product quality and reduce time-to-market for new features.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

6+ years of experience in automation testing using Selenium WebDriver and Java in an e-commerce or retail environment.

Strong knowledge of e-commerce workflows, APIs, and retail-specific testing (e.g., payment processing, inventory systems).

Proficiency in test frameworks (TestNG, JUnit), version control (Git), and build tools (Maven, Gradle).

Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter) is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality user experiences in a fast-paced retail setting.
