Web Designer / Front End Website Developer

Summary

The Web Designer will work with the Marketing and IT departments to create dynamic brand-building websites that engage and attract customers. This position requires a combination of programming skills (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/REACT and PHP). Must have experience with responsive and adaptive design. Also, an understanding of DevOps Best Practices.

Responsibilities

• · Develop Wordpress web applications/pages using current CSS3, PHP and HTML5 standards.

• · Translate design mockups and wireframes into fully functional, responsive websites.

• · Optimize websites for performance, speed, and SEO best practices.

• · Collaborate with the design team to ensure consistency between design and implementation.

• · Test and debug websites across multiple browsers and devices to ensure cross-platform compatibility.

• · Possess expert knowledge and capabilities of creating WordPress custom themes and plugins..

• Required Skills

• · Be a motivated, self-starter, passionate about delivering perfect websites in a fast-paced environment.

• · Experience building complex, responsive, high-traffic websites with WordPress and custom PHP.

• · Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications.

• · Experience with responsive and mobile-first design principles.

• · Be able to code WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.

• · Ability to communicate and work constructively with team members.

• · Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities within strict time constraints.

• · Extreme attention to detail.

• · Portfolio with a range of samples that demonstrate relevant work or projects.

• · Strong front end skills including solid experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/REACT & jQuery.

• · Understanding of W3C standards and general design principles.

• · Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS)

• · Familiarity with design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.

• · Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages.

• · Knowledge of primary SEO elements.

• · Knowledge of website performance optimization techniques.

• · Understanding of best practices for user experience.
