Information Systems – Application Stability / Mainframe Support

Location: Columbia, SC

Work Arrangement: Partial Onsite – 3 days per week in office and as needed

Interview Process: Onsite (in-person) interview required

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Background Requirements: Credit check required during pre-screen

Clearance: C2 clearance eligibility required

Mainframe batch processing, JCL, Zeke Scheduler, TSO, systems analysis/design, troubleshooting & application support, strong communication skills.

Work Schedule Options

Option 1: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Option 2: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM, 4 days on / 4 days off (includes weekends and holidays)

Team Overview

Group: ASTRO – Application Stability Tools and Resiliency Operations

Team: SPARC – Support Services for Pre-production Applications and Recovery

Work closely with an 8-person highly experienced team , plus Application Development and Technical Support (on-call).

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology , or related field

OR

4 years of relevant job-related experience

OR

Associate's degree plus 2 years of relevant IT experience

Required Experience

6+ years of technical experience in:

Systems analysis

System design

Programming or other related IT experience

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Monitor mainframe batch job cycles

Troubleshoot and resolve failed or delayed batch jobs

Engage Application Development or Technical Support when needed

Monitor job performance and CPU utilization

Identify and address long-running or stalled jobs

Use ServiceNow to submit and fulfill service requests

Additional Notes

This is a 100% mainframe-based role

Minimal exposure to server-based technologies

ServiceNow used strictly for request tracking and fulfillment
