Test Engineer

Business Need:

Want someone to write out the test protocols – approx. 300 test plans to write, could be as simple as verifying the equipment or as complex as how the equipment is performing/ functioning – tests could take 10 minutes to write, some a couple days.

Later this summer, Civco will be building some prototype units to test the protocols – testing requirements here in house, some more complex will be outsourced to the third party testing facility. Plan to hire a technician to execute the tests in September

Test Engineer – systems level test protocol writing

Job Description:

Writing system level tests for their product (Product is essentially a dishwasher with a touchscreen that disinfects their probes/ needles)

Mixture of test protocols for software and electrical tests

Software – no unit testing, some integration testing, final functional test. Not coding, will be writing the test cases to ensure software is functioning properly

Working with 3 rd party agencies (UL/ CSA/ etc.) to ensure electrical safety standards are met

Using Windchill to write test procedures (open to any PLM/ bug tracking tool)

Qualifications

• 4-8 years' experience

• Experience writing tests procedures for electrical OR software

• Experience working with 3 rd party venders for testing

• Open to any background – medical device not required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with both software/electrical protocols but will take strong experience in just 1

• Experience with writing protocols for electrical safety

• Preferred-some sort of exposure to AI-i.e. Using to write protocols

• Manager highlighted that people with experience in appliance industry would be well suited
