About the role
As a Quant Analyst in the Algorithmic Trading Team, you will play a crucial role in researching and developing trading strategies for Indian equities and derivatives markets. Your responsibilities will include: - Conducting research to create new trading strategies for medium-frequency (MFT) and low-frequency (LFT) horizons - Translating research ideas into production-ready strategies with efficient and scalable code - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability of the algo trading stack - Working on data-related tasks, infrastructure validations, and system robustness - Contributing to new initiatives at the intersection of technology and trading - Continuously evaluating and improving existing strategies based on performance and market conditions To excel in this role, you should have: - Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++ - Solid understanding of financial markets, especially equities and derivatives - Analytical and creative thinking to generate and refine trading ideas - Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different teams - Comfort working in a fast-paced, research-driven environment Qualifications required for this role: - Bachelors degree in engineering, Maths, or related fields. An MBA is a plus but not mandatory - 1+ year of experience in any tech-related job, with Data Science/Engineering experience being a plus - Proficiency in Python is a must, with knowledge of MATLAB, R, and functional programming as additional advantages.
