About the role
Salesforce QA Engineer / Analyst (with Admin Experience) We are seeking a Salesforce QA Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of our customized Salesforce applications, configurations, and integrations. This role requires a blend of QA expertise and handson Salesforce administration knowledge to test declarative solutions, security models, and complex business processes. Key Responsibilities Analyze complex business and technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, leveraging Admin knowledge to identify nonobvious test scenarios and potential configuration conflicts. Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases for new features, bug fixes, and system enhancements, focusing on declarative tools such as Flow, Validation Rules, and Workflow. Execute functional, regression, system integration, and UAT testing. Perform Salesforce security testingincluding Profiles, Permission Sets, Sharing Rules, and OrganizationWide Defaultsto validate correct data visibility and record access. Log, track, and manage defects in JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar systems throughout the SDLC. Manage test data creation and manipulation in Salesforce sandboxes using Data Loader or Workbench to ensure realistic testing scenarios. Validate the accuracy of reports, dashboards, and complex data models (object relationships, field dependencies). Develop and execute automated test scripts for regression and smoke testing with tools such as Provar, Selenium, or TestComplete. Validate the implementation and configuration of standard and custom Salesforce componentsCustom Objects, Fields, Record Types, Page Layouts, Flows, Approval Processes, Escalation Rules, User, Profile, Permission Set configuration, Security settings, and Sharing Rules. Identify platform best practices that are missing or that could lead to technical debt or performance issues. Support deployment and release processes by ensuring test coverage across environments (sandboxes, production) and by assisting with sandbox refresh planning and postrefresh validation. Perform initial triage and rootcause analysis for critical defects, using Debug Logs and Setup Audit Trail to distinguish between application bugs, configuration errors, and data issues. Required Skills & Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience: 5 years of total experience, with at least 3 years directly in Salesforce QA/Testing and Administration. Salesforce Experience: Minimum of 3 years in the Salesforce ecosystem, with a significant portion dedicated to both QA/Testing and System Administration. Salesforce Admin Skills: Proficiency in declarative configurationFlow, Validation Rules, Formulas, Security Model, Reports/Dashboards. QA Expertise: Indepth knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, particularly in an Agile environment. Tools: Handson experience with automation and testing tools such as Provar, Selenium, or TestComplete. Exposure to automation tools is a plus. Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical and problemsolving skills, high attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication abilities. Desired Certifications: Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator. .
