Program Manager-Engineering

Role Overview: As a Program Manager Engineering at Access, you will be a strategic and operational partner to the Engineering leadership team. Your primary responsibility will be to drive structure, financial rigor, reporting maturity, and enterprise enablement across the engineering organization. You will play a crucial role in ensuring clarity, accountability, and scalability within the engineering department. Reporting to the VP of Program Management, you will work closely with the SVP of Software Engineering to align operations, enhance transparency, and execute engineering priorities effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Engineering Organizational Governance: - Maintain accurate and up-to-date engineering roster and org charts. - Track headcount, team structure, and allocation changes. - Provide clear visibility into capacity and organizational health to leadership. - Financial & Budget Management: - Monitor capitalization rates and Code 90 spend. - Track engineering budgets and improve cost transparency. - Manage purchase orders, renewals, and tooling spend. - Ensure compliance and efficiency in partnership with Finance and Procurement. - Strategic Program Execution: - Translate strategic engineering priorities into structured programs and operational plans. - Lead and execute high-impact operational initiatives. - Identify opportunities for operational scalability and efficiency. - Drive structured program management across cross-functional projects. - Training & Enterprise Enablement: - Develop and implement training programs for engineering. - Lead the rollout and adoption of enterprise tools. - Establish adoption metrics and measure impact. - Reporting & KPI Development: - Build and maintain engineering KPI dashboards. - Deliver executive-ready reporting. - Establish performance baselines and continuous improvement cadence. Qualifications: - 58+ years of relevant experience in Program Management, Engineering Operations, or Technical Operations. - Experience supporting engineering or technical teams. - Strong financial tracking and budgeting experience. - Demonstrated experience building reporting dashboards and KPIs. - Proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives in a global environment. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills across time zones.
