As a Senior Murex Workflows / Back Office Developer at a leading UK based bank, your role is crucial in designing, developing, and optimizing Murex workflows, focusing on Back Office processes such as settlements, confirmations, and regulatory compliance. Your deep technical expertise in Murex development will be essential for collaborating effectively with business analysts and operations teams. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain Murex workflows for Back Office processes, including settlements, confirmations, and payment instructions. - Implement and optimize Murex templates, events, and tasks to enhance trade lifecycle and operational efficiency. - Collaborate with Business Analysts to convert functional requirements into technical solutions. - Configure and customize Murex Back Office modules to align with business and regulatory requirements. - Develop and manage interfaces and integration points between Murex and external systems (e.g., SWIFT, payment gateways). - Conduct unit testing, SIT, and UAT support to ensure high-quality deliverables. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to workflows and Back Office functionalities. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers. - Ensure compliance with regulatory changes and implement necessary workflow adjustments. Required Skills & Experience: - 8+ years of experience in Murex development, with a strong focus on Workflows and Back Office modules. - Expertise in Murex Data Model, Templates, Events, Tasks, and Workflow design. - Strong understanding of settlement processes, confirmations, and trade lifecycle across multiple asset classes (FX, derivatives, fixed income). - Hands-on experience with regulatory compliance implementations (e.g., EMIR, MiFID, Dodd-Frank). - Proficiency in SQL, Unix scripting, and Murex technical architecture. - Experience with integration protocols (e.g., MQ, XML, APIs) and messaging standards (SWIFT). - Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. - Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
