Assistant Manager Operations

To provide technical support to manufacturing operations by providing identified infrastructure support within the identified timelines and to optimize utilization of space and equipment in factory Principal Accountabilities 1. Aiming to achieve accident free working of the department 2. Analyzing and strive for improvement in MTBF and MTTR for mechanical breakdowns in soap/shampoo area 3. Coordinating with OEMs 4. Coordinating with the mechanical contractor and external workshop for the timely completion of the maintenance activities 5. Ensuring compliance with PCRO norms 6. Ensuring that the quality standards are adhered to 7. Handling changeover improvement in soap/shampoo plant 8. Identifying and procuring mechanical spares for the soap/shampoo plant 9. Identifying training needs of workmen 10. Maintaining and improving the employee morale 11. Manage system development and implementation in the assigned plant 12. Monitoring utility consumption 13. Overseeing mechanical maintenance of soap/shampoo plant including preventive/condition monitoring 14. Preparing engineering MIS in soap/shampoo plant 15. Setting up the in-house mechanical workshop 16. Supervising engineering stores operation 17. Training the machine operators and maintenance personnel for trouble-shooting, changeovers Operating Network Internal Technical team - Head Office External vendor Role Requirements / Specifications Graduate Engineer (Mechanical) with 3yrs - 6yrs of experience in co-ordinating and executing the mechanical maintenance jobs in soap/shampoo plant of FMCG industry Knowledge & Skills Market analysis & resource management (explore the market & industry for the best technology being used) Knowledge of activity chart to ensure timely completion of activities Knowledge of material management Market analysis & resource management (explore the market & industry for the best technology being used) Knowledge of activity chart to ensure timely completion of activities Knowledge of material management
