As a Fibre Splicer at this company, you will be responsible for installing, splicing, testing, and maintaining fibre optic cables to ensure high-quality connectivity for telecom and data networks. Your role will demand strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards. Key Responsibilities: - Perform fusion and mechanical splicing of fibre optic cables. - Lay, terminate, and manage fibre optic cables in underground, aerial, and inside plant environments. - Use OTDR, power meters, and other tools to test fibre integrity and diagnose faults. - Maintain accurate records of splicing activities, test results, and cable routes. - Follow industry standards and safety protocols during installation and maintenance. - Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project managers to deliver projects on time. Required Skills & Competencies: - Technical knowledge of fibre optic theory, splicing techniques, and cable management. - Hands-on experience with OTDR, fusion splicers, and related fibre optic tools. - Problem-solving ability to quickly identify and resolve fibre issues. - Attention to detail for precise splicing and testing. - Physical fitness to work in field conditions (outdoors, confined spaces, heights). - Communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients. Qualifications: - Diploma/ITI/Certification in Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field. - Minimum 25 Years Of Fibre Splicing Experience Preferred. - Valid drivers license (for field mobility).
