About the role
As an MIS Analyst, your role includes the following responsibilities: - Data Analysis and Reporting: - Analyze large datasets using tools like Excel, SQL, Business Objects, QlikView, and Tableau to generate reports for the management team. - Extract, manipulate, and visualize data to provide valuable insights. - System Development and Management: - Participate in designing, developing, and managing the organization's MIS infrastructure. - Ensure accurate collection and storage of data and suggest improvements for reporting processes. - Identifying Opportunities and Risks: - Conduct thorough data analyses to spot opportunities and risks. - Utilize technical and business knowledge to understand trends, patterns, and provide insights for decision-making. - Collaboration and Communication: - Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders. - Gather requirements from business users, offer technical support, and ensure MIS systems align with their needs. - Communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to the management team. - Data Governance and Quality Assurance: - Uphold data integrity and privacy standards. - Define data governance policies, ensure consistent data definitions, and monitor data quality. - Collaborate with data owners and users to set quality metrics and thresholds. - Training and Support: - Provide training and support to MIS system users. - Develop documentation, conduct training sessions, and assist users in effectively utilizing the systems.
