About the role
The Shift Engineer-Electrical Maintenance will play a crucial role in overseeing and executing end-to-end electrical maintenance activities in a thermal power plant setting. The individual will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems, troubleshooting issues, and implementing preventive maintenance strategies to optimize plant efficiency and reliability.
5+ years of experience in the Thermal & Power Plant industry B. Tech in Electrical Engineering Relevant certifications in electrical maintenance and safety protocols (preferred)
Executing planned and unplanned electrical maintenance activities in adherence to safety protocols and regulations. Conducting routine inspections of electrical systems to identify and address potential issues proactively. Collaborating with the maintenance team to develop and implement maintenance schedules and strategies. Diagnosing electrical problems and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime. Performing regular maintenance tasks such as wiring, testing, and component replacements. Ensuring compliance with electrical codes, standards, and procedures. Providing technical guidance and support to junior maintenance staff. Documenting maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status accurately. Participating in training programs to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
