About the role
As a Software Architect at Aeris Communications Inc., you will play a crucial role in building the next generation IoT platform for connected vehicles. You will be part of a dynamic global development team, collaborating with developers, management, and customer support teams. This is an opportunity for you to work with cutting-edge technology stacks on public clouds like GCP, AWS, and Azure, as well as in embedded in-vehicle environments. Your contributions will be integral to advancing the software lifecycle and shaping the team's success. Key Responsibilities: - Demonstrate clean code discipline and a deep understanding of Design Patterns, Design Principles, and Data Structures. - Communicate effectively with product and engineering management, as well as project stakeholders in an agile environment. - Lead technical designs and implementation of product features independently. - Stay updated with the latest technologies and open sources to introduce them as required. - Have experience with at least two major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Work on cloud orchestration and Kubernetes for efficient system management. - Utilize your knowledge in computer science fundamentals including multithreading, memory management, and web services. - Leverage ML/AI experience to enhance innovation, security, and performance in IoT solutions. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - Proficiency in at least two programming languages, with the ability to quickly learn new ones (Java and Python are preferred). - Experience with AI tools and technologies, showcasing a commitment to leveraging artificial intelligence. - Understanding of electrical engineering is a plus. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to mentor and lead. - Previous experience with large-scale production systems and cloud stacks. - Familiarity with Event Driven Architecture concepts like CQRS, Axon, Reactor, etc. - Knowledge of messaging systems like JMS, AMQP, MQTT, Kafka, along with experience in Jenkins, Docker, Redis, Junit, Security, and NodeJS. - Exposure to telecom-related product development and test-driven development. - Capability to debug in AWS/GCP/Azure environments and work effectively with geographically distributed teams. - Prior experience in the Automotive domain would be advantageous.
