About the role
You will be joining Aeris Communications Inc. as a Technical Leader in the development of a cloud-based 3GPP compliant 5G SA core network. Your role will involve daily communication with the architect, generating detailed technical designs and documentation, and actively participating in developing delivery schedules. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the daily activities of other developers on the team and implementing various 5G SA Network Functions. Key Responsibilities: - Solve Business Problems: Research solutions to solve problems and develop products. - Groom Backlog: Collaborate with peers such as Product Managers, Network Engineers, and Architects to develop detailed requirements and transform them into a solution backlog with all required components and acceptance criteria. - Ensure Architectural Alignment: Review and refine system designs with the team and stakeholders to ensure robust security, well-integrated network components, observability, and optimal unit economics. - Leverage Cellular Expertise: Utilize domain expertise in Cellular networks to build a cutting-edge Cellular Core SaaS product. - Create Design & Documentation Artifacts: Produce and maintain detailed technical designs, specifications, and documentation for current development and future enhancements. - Implementation: Develop and implement network components using technologies like Java, various databases, and network analysis tools. - Schedule Planning: Contribute to setting and managing delivery schedules to meet launch deadlines. - Team Oversight: Support the daily activities of other developers by providing mentoring, code reviews, and troubleshooting. - Technical Troubleshooting: Address complex technical challenges and optimize network performance. - Adoption of New Technologies: Integrate emerging AI-powered tools and methodologies to enhance development processes. Must Have Skills: - AI-powered coding assistants and effective prompt engineering, and use GenAI for technical research and documentation. - Java - Database (MySQL, Oracle, Cassandra, Redis - at least one) - Git source control & release compliance - Critical thinking - Excellent communicator: able to effectively express ideas and concepts, in both written and spoken forms. Can organize and lead internal discussions and present to customers. Desirable Skills: - Public cloud services: GCP, AWS, or Azure - Agile Scrum Master - Spring Boot - Docker/Containers/Kubernetes - C/C++Message broker: RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc. Nice To Have Domain Experience: - Familiarity with 3GPP Rel 15 and later - Cellular identifiers (ICCID, IMSI, MSISDN, IMEI) - 2G/3G (SS7), 4G (Diameter), 5G SA (AAA/RADIUS, SMS, SMPP, VoLTE) - API Development & Security: OAuth2, PKI, mTLS, SSL - IP networks: packet inspection, routing, IP allocation & assignment, subnets, CIDR specification, IPv6. Education: - BS or higher degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
