About the role
As a Rust Developer Networking Systems, your role involves designing, developing, and optimizing high-performance, scalable networking systems using Rust. You will collaborate closely with product engineering, platform, and DevOps teams to build low-latency, concurrent, and secure systems software. Your responsibilities include: - Designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance networking applications in Rust. - Implementing, optimizing, and troubleshooting networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, gRPC, and related stacks. - Building concurrent and asynchronous systems using Rust async frameworks like Tokio, async-std, and futures. - Developing low-latency, high-throughput services for scalable platforms. - Debugging and optimizing memory usage, performance bottlenecks, and concurrency issues. - Designing and maintaining REST and gRPC APIs and backend services. - Collaborating with Architecture, QA, DevOps, and Product Engineering teams. - Participating in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, security, and best practices. - Writing unit tests, integration tests, and performance benchmarks. To excel in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications: - Relevant years of hands-on experience with Rust in production environments. - Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS/SSL, sockets, and network communication models. - Experience with async Rust frameworks such as Tokio, async-std, and futures. - Solid knowledge of Linux systems programming. - Strong understanding of concurrency, multithreading, and memory safety concepts. - Experience with Git and modern CI/CD practices. - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Joining this role will allow you to work on cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with diverse teams to build robust systems-level software.
