About the role
Akkodis is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Lead DevOps Engineer to help drive the evolution of our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD platforms, and DevOps practices. This individual will serve as the technical leader for a collaborative infrastructure team, taking ownership of key DevOps systems while mentoring engineers and influencing infrastructure strategy across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior DevOps professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, guiding teammates, and contributing to architectural decisions, while remaining deeply involved in day-to-day engineering work. The ideal candidate is interested in growing into broader leadership responsibilities over time while maintaining strong technical involvement.
Salary Range: $130,000-150,000/Annually
Responsibilities
· Serve as the technical lead for DevOps and infrastructure initiatives. · Provide guidance, mentoring, and coaching to junior engineers. · Partner with engineering and infrastructure leadership to define best practices and technical standards. · Influence technology selection, architectural design, and infrastructure strategy. · Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure primarily within AWS. · Support and optimize hybrid infrastructure environments spanning both cloud and colocation/on-premises systems. · Administer and enhance Kubernetes platforms supporting containerized applications. · Drive infrastructure reliability, performance, security, and operational excellence. · Own and support GitLab CI/CD pipelines across multiple development teams. · Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline failures and deployment issues. · Improve deployment automation, release processes, and developer experience. · Lead or support artifact repository and platform migration initiatives. · Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
Qualifications

· Significant experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering role. · Strong hands-on experience with: Kubernetes

· Experience supporting production infrastructure and mission-critical applications. · Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. · Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical decisions across teams. · Proven ability to mentor and support junior engineers.
