Technical Architect / IT Solutions Architect

As a Senior Technical Role within Allianz Technology, you will be responsible for collaborating with a diverse group of Business and Technical Stakeholders to understand and influence Business and IT Strategy, organisational fit, compliance, and ongoing business change requirements. Your role will involve researching market-leading Technologies and Technology Services, and creating Business cases to present to Architectural Design Authorities for purchase or implementation justification. You will not be in a 'hands-on' or Technical Lead Role, but you will work closely with Subject Matter Experts to provide Advice & Guidance during implementation. Reporting to the Principal Architect for Technology, you will be part of a small team of Technical Architects collaborating with Solution and Integration Architects to deliver IT Solution Architecture. Your extensive experience in Enterprise Technologies will be crucial in identifying risks, proposing mitigations, and justifying the value of Technology Strategies to Senior Business audiences. You will also have hands-on experience in Supporting and Designing Mission Critical Infrastructure Solutions across various Technologies. Additionally, exposure to large Public Cloud implementations (Preferably Azure) and core Technologies such as Windows, Linux, Web, Middleware, Database, Security Gateways, LAN/WAN Networking, and MuleSoft API management is essential. Furthermore, your experience should include designing secure, high performing, highly available Technology Solutions, along with proficiency in IT Security and Risk management. Knowledge and experience of Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies, Continuous Integration and Deployment processes, as well as Contractual Due Diligence with AI exposure, will be advantageous in this role. While a Degree or HND in Information Technology is desirable, equivalent experience will also be considered. Certifications such as TOGAF and ITIL are desirable but not essential.
