As a talented Network & Security Engineer at Alter Domus, you will be responsible for leading the Network Security engineering program to ensure the highest level of security for the organization. Your main goal will be to design, deploy, and manage network infrastructure, focusing on firewall rules management, proxy, WAF deployments, ZTIA solutions, Switching, Routing, and SDWAN. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Network Operations team on complex issues. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement security architectures and solutions to safeguard the organization's network - Continuously monitor network traffic and security alerts to identify and respond to potential threats - Create and maintain security standards, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with company policy and regulations - Work closely with IT teams to integrate security measures into network infrastructure and applications - Design, deploy, and maintain global network redundancy - Secure network systems by enforcing security policies, performing configuration reviews/audits, and defining and monitoring access - Design and optimize firewall rule sets for improved security, performance, and compliance - Perform risk assessments and firewall audits to ensure adherence to network security best practices - Maintain data networks (Cisco, Dell), Wi-Fi networks (Cisco WLC), and next-generation firewalls (Check Point) - Troubleshoot network incidents and problems, coordinating with field engineers, vendors, and third parties for quick resolution - Manage Zscaler configuration and undertake rules review to optimize rules while considering user experience - Create and maintain detailed network documentation and diagrams Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or related professional experience - 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Network Security Engineer - Strong TCP/IP network and security fundamentals - CCNP certified or equivalent experience level - Additional certifications such as Network+, Security+, and Cloud certifications are desired - Cross-platform knowledge and experience in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting WAN/LAN/WLAN technologies - Hands-on experience in implementing and managing next-generation firewalls - Ability to implement and troubleshoot Firewall policies and IPsec VPNs - Experience with Cisco ISE, WLC, and knowledge of proxy solutions/web filtering - Good knowledge of at least 1 NGFW vendor/brand - Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Technologies, O365, and virtualization technologies - Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a dynamic environment This role at Alter Domus offers industry-leading resources through the Alter Domus Academy, support for professional accreditations, flexible arrangements, generous holidays, continuous mentoring, and an inclusive workplace culture where diversity is celebrated.
