Senior Infrastructure Linux Engineer

As a skilled Senior Linux infrastructure engineer at Amaris Consulting, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of real-time data systems for one of the world's leading investment banks. Your responsibilities will include resolving data quality issues, supporting on-call incidents, implementing monitoring tools, and collaborating with global Market Data Infrastructure teams. Your expertise in Linux System Administration, Windows operating systems, scripting (preferably Bash and Python), networking, and ITIL Foundation will be essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Resolving data quality issues by conducting root cause analysis and coordinating with internal and external vendors - Supporting on-call duties, incident management, problem and change managements - Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of real-time data while implementing monitoring tools - Collaborating with Market Data Infrastructure teams to share knowledge and enhance service quality - Managing L2 Alert and Incident Management processes - Overseeing Change Management activities for production changes - Handling other tasks such as Release Management, Event Management, User support, and Reporting Qualifications: - Minimum 4 years of experience in infrastructure, systems, or production support roles - Proficiency in Linux System Administration and scripting (Bash and/or Python) - Familiarity with Windows operating systems, networking skills, and ITIL Foundation - Prior experience in banking or financial IT environments is advantageous - Additional skills like experience with ITRS Geneos, AWS, Google Cloud, automation pipelines, and database queries are beneficial You will be joining a modern, dynamic, and future-oriented environment at Amaris Consulting, offering flexible working arrangements, continuous learning opportunities, competitive salary and benefits, long-term career prospects, and an inclusive multicultural team.
