About the role

As an IT Support Engineer at Amazon, you will be part of the Amazon Helpdesk team, the primary support channel for Amazon employees for technical questions and issues related to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, network services, and software. You will collaborate with Amazon and Amazon service managers to maintain internal solutions and address employees' technical problems. Your responsibilities will include managing on-premise infrastructure such as servers, network devices, telephony, and printers. If you are customer-focused, possess strong problem-solving skills, and have experience in Chrome OS and Windows environments, we are interested in speaking with you. Key Responsibilities: - Provide ticket-based, walk-up, and remote Helpdesk support for Amazon's multi-site user base and environments. - Engage with internal and external service providers to process support requests for timely issue resolution. - Manage routine processes like new hire onboarding, computer lifecycle management, asset management, computer imaging, hardware warranty support, and hardware recycling. - Participate in developing and implementing processes to ensure reliability and optimal performance of user hardware and local services. - Collaborate with the IT Operations team to maintain system SLAs and be part of the rotating On-call schedule for production support issues. - Research, procure, vet, and deploy new hardware and software solutions. Key Job Responsibilities: - Windows/Mac/Linux OS deployment - Providing remote tech support - User hardware/software/peripheral support - LAN troubleshooting and support - Hardware procurement and asset management - Creating and maintaining documentation Qualifications Required: - 3+ years of corporate setting experience supporting Windows, Mac, or Linux Operating systems - Experience in troubleshooting integrated and interdependent computer systems - Experience in maintaining zebra thermal printers, troubleshooting thin clients, PCs, scanners, and portable handheld terminals Preferred Qualifications: - Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco/CCNA, Linux (Redhat), Microsoft hardware (installation), AWS, or other industry relevant certifications - Experience in a dynamic environment with a high degree of customer service Amazon values an inclusive culture that empowers its employees to deliver the best results for customers.
