Role Overview: As an IT Database Administrator (DBA) at ANDREW, an Amphenol company, you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and enhancing all aspects of HANA, SQL Server, and Oracle database environments. You will play a crucial role in responding to database related alerts, triaging incidents, and resolving any database issues. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing critical databases in a 24x7x365 environment located in Azure and a physical datacenter. Key Responsibilities: - Streamline and optimize critical databases in a 24x7x365 environment in Azure and a physical datacenter - Work with development and infrastructure teams to enhance performance and observability of database services - Develop and update database documentation, including data standards and procedures - Ensure data and access standards are followed proactively - Troubleshoot issues across hardware, software, application, and network within cloud-based environments and a physical datacenter - Develop, manage, test, and document backup and recovery plans - Maintain monitoring and alerting for databases and participate in an on-call schedule - Design, build, optimize, and maintain databases on a large scale - Demonstrate a deep understanding of relational database design - Troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues in a production environment Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or another technical scientific discipline - 5+ years of database design and administration experience in an enterprise environment Additional Company Details: ANDREW, part of the Amphenol family, has a legacy of over 85 years in wireless innovation.
