About the role
Role Overview: You will be the Retail Support Technician for Rhones retail store locations, providing technical support to ensure smooth operations. Your main focus will be on supporting POS systems, store hardware, in-store networking, and technology used in day-to-day retail operations. Additionally, you may need to assist with corporate and remote IT needs. Key Responsibilities: - Act as the first point of contact for IT support requests from all retail store employees. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Point of Sale (POS) systems, payment terminals, scanners, receipt/label printers, tablets, and other store equipment. - Support store network connectivity, including Wi-Fi, switches, access points, and back-office systems. - Troubleshoot back-office software, store operational tools, and inventory-related devices. - Assist with technology setup and configuration for new store openings, remodels, and relocations. - Stage and test equipment such as POS stations, networking gear, back-office workstations, and store mobile devices. - Provide basic hardware, software, and device troubleshooting for corporate and remote employees when needed. - Assist with corporate workstation setup, onboarding tasks, and device maintenance. - Maintain accurate inventory of retail IT equipment, spare hardware, and deployment stock. - Document troubleshooting steps, recurring issues, and processes to improve the IT knowledge base. - Perform routine maintenance on store and corporate devices, including laptops, POS hardware, and peripherals. - Assist with SaaS troubleshooting, user access, and adherence to IT security policies. Qualifications Required: - 12 years of experience in IT support, preferably supporting retail environments. - Familiarity with POS systems, retail hardware, and basic networking fundamentals (strongly preferred). - Experience supporting Windows, macOS, iOS, and common retail devices. - Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users. - A customer-first mindset, high attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize effectively. - A willingness to learn, grow, and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.
